Losito e Guarini Srl is a historic and well-established winery that has experienced significant development and growth over time. The production process is characterized by efficiency, automation, and flexibility, which are the cornerstones of its quality and service strategy. Distribution takes place primarily through large-scale retail and wholesale channels through a network of employees and, to a lesser extent, agents. It has recently expanded its distribution network to international markets.

Need for an advanced Industrial and Commercial Control system to support the business

The company needed a modern Industrial and Commercial Control system that would allow it to monitor its business performance. This was achieved by defining product costs, measuring sales profitability (with a focus on purchasing and industrial processes), and compiling a management income statement. It required monthly, rather than quarterly, reporting, with the ability to drill down to product/customer detail. As a prerequisite, it was necessary to develop and strengthen the company's existing information systems and add a dedicated resource to oversee the Management Control function.

objectives of activating a modern Management Control system aimed at supporting the
users and business decisions and grow your business:

  • A dedicated resource for the Management Control function has been added
    specifically trained for this role.
  • In the information field, the basic information system has been developed and consolidated
    with interventions by:

    • Standardization of IT flows through centralization in a single Host
    • Activation of the valorization of material loads
    • "Specific" characterization of incoming raw materials, to be able to "stratify" the average cost.
    • Consolidation of the Bill of Materials with the addition of the "specification" and, where applicable, the physiological waste
    • Segmentation of General Ledger Accounts, with particular attention to the distinction between Production, Commercial and General Costs and a specific depth on the production area.
    • Refocus on the commission theme and tuning
    • «Computerization» of Contract Management
    • Analysis and Reconciliation of Transport Costs.
  • In the Industrial Area

    • The Industrial Cost per Cost Center up to the Product has been released
    • The Industrial Cost of Goods Sold was obtained through the analysis of the Active Cycle
    • The monthly Management Profit and Loss Statement was constructed by drawing on General Accounting data.
  • In the Commercial Area

    • The Customer/Product Profit and Loss Statement has been consolidated with the Revenue components,
      Commercial and General Cost and at different levels of margins; in this context it was
      variance analysis is also planned.
